“Tennis begins with love and a first serve. Serve first in tennis and in life.”
– The Rossetti Brothers
The Rossetti Brothers, Identical twin brothers and USPTA/PTR certified tennis teaching professionals, Angelo A. and Ettore Rossetti, will attempt the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the Longest tennis rally, on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Weston Racquet Club in Weston, CT.
The brothers had previously held the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title of Longest tennis rally consisting of 25,944 consecutive strokes for nearly five years after setting it on August 9, 2008. The feat took 14 hours and 31 minutes.
Tennis “Rally for Charity” is a fundraising event combining tennis and philanthropy created by The Rossetti Brothers in 2007. It is dedicated to their tennis mentor Scott B. Wilson, to the legacy of Tim Gullikson and to the children who do not survive past their fifth birthdays worldwide. The Rossetti Brothers, Angelo and Ettore, are identical twins and certified USPTA/PTR elite tennis teaching professionals for more than 20 years and lifetime members of the USTA. Angelo serves as the Director of Tennis at Weston Racquet Club and Ettore serves as the Director of Social Media & Digital Marketing at Save the Children and teaches tennis part-time at Weston Racquet Club.
You can witness an epic event and be part of GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS history! Our goal is to rally for 24 hours or 100,000 strokes, whichever comes first. You may think this is impossible, but we think it’s #twinpossible!
We hope that we have inspired you to take action. If so, there are 4 actions you can take to help us RIGHT NOW!
1. Join the rally: Make a fundraising pledge (for example, pledge $1 per stroke for $10 strokes)
2. Keep the rally going: Share with 10 friends and ask them to make a pledge (ask 10 friends for $10, that’s $100!)
4. Help with the rally: Sign up to be a volunteer (we will never give away your contact info but may send you occasional emails).
